1st and 2nd Year Confirmation Candidates:

Will have to meet Diocesan requirements to be able to make their Confirmation. I will keep you posted as much as I can.


To be sure that you get information, we asked that you give us a valid email address and we will email you every time something comes up.

 Confirmation Requirements 
1st Year Candidates


1. Class Attendance & Mass
Attendance will be combined with Mass participation.
Mass is a priority this year: There will be an 11:00 AM Sunday Mass.
Classes will be dismissed so teens can attend.
If a candidate attends Mass at a different time or parish, parents must email the Faith Formation Director.
Candidates are allowed to miss up to 2 classes.
We will provide material or make up classes for missed sessions.
Missed classes cannot be made up with service projects.


2. Retreat – is mandatory
The Retreat will consist of two parts
Date and time are still to be determined.
Part 1 (A) – November 22: Build-A-Bed
Part 1 (B) – TBD (For those who could not make Build-A-Bed
Part 2 – Will be in the 2nd semester - TBD


3. Service Projects
Candidates must complete 3 to 5 service projects.Breakfast with Santa & Breakfast with the Easter Bunny = 1 Service ProjectThe Part 1 of the Retreats – do not count as a Service Project. Several group service projects are being planned.

CONFIRMATION REQUIREMENTS
2nd Year Candidates:


1. Baptismal Certificate: will be required unless your child was Baptized at St. Francis St. Mary’s or St. Matthew's Parishes If your child made their First Eucharist at one of our 3 parishes but were Baptized at another church, we still need a Baptismal Certificate


2. Confirmation Sponsor Certificate: Will need to be in good standing with their church, we will need a certificate from the Sponsor’s Church if they are not a member of one of our 3 parishes (to get a certificate – they will need to call their Church and let them know that they are going to be a sponsor for Confirmation )


3. Confirmation Name: Each candidate will need to choose a name for Confirmation; we will provide a Confirmation Packet that will have websites to help the choose a name.

5. Interviews: Each Confirmation candidate needs to complete an interview. The Interview will be completed by the Faith Formation Director.
